ENERGY: Norway Oil and Gas Output Above Forecast in November

Norway’s November oil and gas output was above the official forecast according to the Norwegian Offshore Directorate.

  • Oil production dipped to 1.736mbpd in November from 1.781mbpd October but was 3.2% higher than the official forecast of 1.682mbpd. Oil, NGL and condensate production fell to 1.975mbpd from 2.00mbpd last month but above the forecast of 1.934mbpd by 2.1%.
  • Natural gas production increased to 360mcm/d in November from 341.9mcm/d in October and was 3% above a forecast of 349.5mcm/d.
  • The total petroleum production so far in 2024 is about 221.4mcm oil equivalents and 9.2mcm oil equivalents higher than 2023.
