Norway Target 15% Increase in Oil Production Next Year - Gas Production Flat

Norway’s oil production is expected to rise by 15% in 2023 according to a government draft budget. The country’s major field Johan Svredrup is anticipated to make up most of the increase.

• Natural gas output was meanwhile seen at 121 billion cubic metres (bcm) next year, compared with 122 bcm expected in 2022.

• Europe is encouraging Norway to boost its gas production in particular as its now become the biggest gas supplier to Europe now that Russian flows have largely halted.
