Norway’s Dvalin Yet to Return to Full Capacity


Norway’s Dvalin field is yet to return to full capacity according to operator Wintershall Dea.

  • Two eastern wells of the Dvalin field started on July 29 but the western sector remains under “applicable engineering testing,”.
  • Testing is expected to be completed soon, but the exact date is yet to be decided.
  • The field with a technical capacity of 9mcm/d has seen technical issues in recent years including problems earlier this year while attempting to restart.
  • Planned field maintenance is expected from 19-26 September according to Gassco.
