Norwegian Gas Sector Set for September Maintenance

  • Norway, which has overtaken Russia as Europe’s biggest gas supplier, has significant infrastructure maintenance in September.
  • Maintenance should curtail overall gas production, which will drop to 323.9 mcm/day, the lowest point this year, according to a forecast from the Norwegian petroleum directorate.
  • Nord Stream 1 flows from Russia will stop for three days from Aug. 31.
