Novatak Working to Resolve Export Issues at Arctic LNG 2: Shulginov

Russian authorities and Novatek are working to resolve the task of exporting products from Arctic LNG 2, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said.

  • "Arctic LNG 2 is ready for operation. The problem with gas tankers is being solved. We continue to look for suppliers. We also have our own programs, but they take time. We and the companies are and will be solving these issues," he said.
  • The Arctic LNG 2 project is set to have three trains, each with a production capacity of 6.6m mtpa.
  • The facility is yet to ship a cargo, however.
  • The US treasury placed sanctions on the Arctic LNG 2 project in November.
