November Economic Activity Data Scheduled

  • The focus will be on November activity data, scheduled for release at 1600GMT(1100ET). After a -0.4% Y/y contraction in October, base effects should see activity rebound to +1.2% Y/y. USDCOP had a volatile day yesterday, following swings in the oil price and mixed domestic demand activity data. While retail sales increased sequentially in November, manufacturing production recorded a small decline.
  • Overall, activity remains weak, however, giving BanRep room to cut rates again later this month.
