NY Fed: Weekly Economic Index (WEI) Gaining


NY Fed explains the latest WEI rise to 1.47% from 1.07% the week prior is "due to rises in steel production, tax withholding, railroad traffic, electricity output, and fuel sales, and a decrease in initial unemployment insurance claims, which more than offset declines in retail sales and consumer confidence."
