NEW ZEALAND

Bloomberg has published snippets from New Zealand's Finance Minister's letter to RBNZ Governor Orr, asking him to consider revising the central bank's remit to include housing price stability. The Minister wrote that "now is the time to consider how the Reserve Bank may contribute to a stable housing market," while adding that "I am not proposing any changes to the mandate or the independence of the Reserve Bank".
