KIWI: NZD landed atop the G10 pile, with NZD/USD adding a handful of pips as a
result. There has been little of note in terms of broader picture developments
in this quiet Asia-Pac session.
- In its weekly economic update, NZ Treasury said that the increase in
unemployment will be smaller than expected. The jobless rate is expected to peak
at 9% in Q3, rather than at 10% as forecast in the budget.
- NZD/USD last trades at $0.6440, 11 pips better off. A familiar technical
picture remains intact.
