KIWI: NZD/USD has consolidated back above $0.6500 in early trade this week, with
risk assets operating on a slightly firmer footing in general.
- NZD/USD last deals at $0.6525, ~20 pips or so better off on the day. The
21-DMA ($0.6527) provides immediate resistance, followed by the Oct 23 high
($0.6569), ahead of the 50-DMA at ($0.6582). Bears target a move back below
$0.6500, which would then allow them to focus on Friday's low ($0.6465).
- NZ focus this week will fall on the ANZ biz. confidence survey, with the
subject providing interest to the RBNZ ahead of its November 08 MonPol decision.
