KIWI: NZD/USD last seen at $0.6577, barely changed on the day, after dropping 8
pips yesterday.
- The kiwi struggle somewhat in yesterday's Asia-Pac session, with NZD/USD
edging to its intraday low of $0.6566 ahead of the London morning. The rate
recovered into Europe, but slid off of hight, with the move accelerated by
renewed greenback strength, inspired by comparative trade rhetoric from U.S.
Pres Trump.
- Bears need a dip through the aforementioned yesterday's low before attempting
a move at the 21-DMA/May 27 & 28 highs of $0.6560/59. Below here brings the
$0.6500 figure into view. Bulls look to $0.6600, ahead of the 50-DMA located a
further 20 pips above.
- NZ BusinessNZ manufacturing PMI and food price index will be published
tomorrow, but today's comments from PBoC Gov Yi may also provide some interest.
