KIWI: NZD/USD moved to session lows ($0.6620) as RBNZ Gov. Orr added additional
weight to the pair (on top of the broader USD strength). Orr reiterated that the
RBNZ is in no rush to hike interest rates, and that he cannot rule out a cut in
the OCR, although he did reiterate the Bank's balanced outlook re: the OCR. Orr
said he is very pleased with the behaviour of the NZD, which will support the NZ
economy.
- The pair fell afoul of the broader USD strength on Thursday, and has had a
look below the 21 Aug low ($0.6627), last $0.6630, additional support is noted
at $0.6611 followed by interest at the figure ($0.6600).
- NZ trade data dominates the NZ docket today.
