Official Says 60% Inflation May Be in New IMF Range

  • Argentina and the International Monetary Fund’s new projected range of annual inflation for the end of 2022 may include price rises of 60% once IMF staff complete the first review of the country’s program, according to a senior government official who asked not to be named while the discussions are ongoing. (Bloomberg)
    • For reference, annual inflation, currently at 58%, was projected to end 2022 between 38% and 48% in original agreement from March.
    • The IMF hasn’t announced when first review ends.
