OI Points To Mix Of Net Short Setting & Long Cover In Futures On Monday

EURIBOR

The combination of OI data and the general downtick in Euribor futures on Monday points to a mix of net long cover and net short setting.

  • Net pack OI was little changed on the day through the greens, while net short setting seemed to dominate in the blues.
  • ECB speak and final Eurozone CPI data did little for Euribor.
  • Issuance factored into the selling in the European long end, although more focus was on higher for longer rate speculation in the U.S.
