OIL: Gazpromneft Moscow Refinery Suspends Operations

Gazpromneft’s Moscow refinery suspended operations at combined refining unit Euro+ that includes the CDU-6, Reuters said.

  • This followed a fire on Sep. 1, three sources told Reuters. The Moscow refinery was hit by a drone the same day.
  • The plant may resume oil processing at Euro+ unit after repairs in 5-6 days.
  • The Euro+ unit accounts for some 50% of the plant’s total prime refining capacity. Its CDU has a capacity of 2m mtpa.
  • Euro+ also contains a reforming unit with a capacity of 1m mtpa and a diesel fuel hydrotreatment unit with a capacity of 2m mtpa.
