OIL OPTIONS: ICE Brent Sept24 Option Expiry – Friday 26 July 2024

OIL OPTIONS
  • A total of 757mbbls of open September Brent options positions are currently due to expire on Friday July 26 against the futures close. Open interest is 445k call contracts and 313k for puts.
  • The aggregate open interest across all ICE Brent options contracts is relatively unchanged on the month at 1.87m contracts for calls and 1.37m contracts for puts
  • The market has today fallen back towards the large volume of options sitting at the $80/bbl strike price where there are 22.7k of puts and 9.8k of calls.
