India’s diesel and gasoline sales rose in the first half of November compared to October levels, data from state-run Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum showed cited by Bloomberg.

  • Indian diesel sales in H1 November rose 11% on the month to 3.194m tons and were 1.9% higher on the year.
  • Gasoline sales rose by 4.4% on the month to 1.401m tons and up 12.3% year on year.
  • Jet fuel sales fell by 1.1% m/m to 313k tons but were up 0.7% on the year.
  • LPG sales were up 3.1% m/m to 1.339m tons and up 6.3% on the year.
  • The diesel demand rise was expected driven by the festival season and the crop harvest after the monsoon season, Indian Oil Chairman said last month.
