Russia's seaborne oil product exports increased 5% m/m in September to 9.217m metric tons, according to Reuters calculations based on industry data sources.

  • September port loadings were supported by higher production levels in August due to relatively low offline primary oil refining capacity at 2.93m tons but this increased to 4.5m tons in September.
  • Oil product exports from the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga rose by 3.8% m/m in September to 4.957m tons.
  • Exports from the Black Sea and Azov Sea ports increased by 14.6% m/m to 3.66m tons.
  • Shipments from Russia's Arctic ports of Murmansk and Arkhangelsk fell 4% m/m to 81.2k tons in September.
  • Russia's Far East port exports fell 28.5% m/m to 519.4k tons amid planned refinery maintenance.
