OIL: Russian Refineries Targeted in Latest Drone Strikes

At least two Russian refineries were targeted overnight amid one of the largest waves of drone attacks since the start of the targeted Ukrainian strikes in late January.

  • Russian Defence Ministry said 70 drones were intercepted over Crimea and the Black Sea and 43 over Krasnodar. Russian war planes destroyed six naval drones in the northwestern Black Sea the Defence Ministry added.
  • A small fire at the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region has been put out after a drone strike on Friday, Interfax reported.
  • “Administrative buildings were damaged on the territory of an oil refinery” said Seversky district local governor Veniamin Kondratyev.
