Oman Raised LNG Capacity To 11.5mn T/Yr

Oman LNG has raised its LNG capacity to 11.5mn t/yr last year after boosting efficiency of units and the firm is looking to increase capacity even further, CEO of Oman LNG, Hamed Al Naamany, said.

  • Oman LNG’s supply of gas export is fully committed from 2025 onward. The producer will keep up to 15% of supply for sales in the spot market, Al Naamany said.
  • The firm is currently selling 89% of its volumes on the spot market and 11% is purchased under term contracts through 2024.
  • Oman has been in advanced talks with Germany on an LNG supply deal for over ten years, Reuters reported earlier this year.
