HUNGARY: Orban to Detail Economic Plans at Weekend SONA

HUNGARY
  • Speaking on public radio ahead of the open, PM Orban stated that Hungary is putting all its cards on peace - again repeating that a Republican-led United States will broker peace and in-turn boost the Hungarian economy.
  • The PM also outlined a 21-point plan for the economy to work alongside a policy of economic neutrality that will give the economy a "powerful" leg-up. At present, the economy is starting to move, and is gaining positive momentum. The PM will go through further details at the state-of-the-nation speech due this weekend.
  • On Russian sanctions, Hungary will vote against an extension of sanctions against both Russian and Belarussian individuals on concerns that it would hinder peace talks ahead.
