Pemex Refineries Utilization Rate Falls to Lowest Since Nov 2020

Utilization rate at Pemex refineries fell to the lowest since Nov 2020 at just 37.4% capacity in October according to Bloomberg.

  • The rate fell from 47.2% in September and has been below 50% since May, after half of its refineries suffered fires.
  • The latest decline in runs was driven by the Madero refinery operating at less than 5% of capacity and by a drop in Salina Cruz rates.
  • Refineries processed 792kb/d in Jan-Oct compared with a target of 865kb/d for this year.
