REFINING: Pemex Runs at 38.2% in November

REFINING

Mexico’s Pemex operated its seven refineries at 38.2% in November, up from 37.2% in October.

  • The flagship 340kbd Dos Bocas refinery processed 59kbd in November versus zero in October.
  • The Pemex Dos Bocas refinery in Mexico is a long way off manufacturing clean products according to OPIS lead analyst Tom Kloza last week: “Sources say that a crude oil distillation unit that was running some test batches is now down for 40 days of maintenance. Could be a long wait for on-spec gasoline/diesel,” he said via X.
  • Runs at the Minatitlan and Salina Cruz are likely to have fallen in December after fires were reported in late November.
