  • Colombia’s left-wing senator Gustavo Petro leads the most recent Centro Nacional de Consultoria poll, just two weeks ahead of the first round of the country’s presidential election, Portafolio newspaper published on website.
  • Petro gets 38% of the intended votes, former Medellin mayor Federico Gutierrez 23%, independent former Bucaramanga mayor Rodolfo Hernandez 16% and former Antioquia Governor Sergio Fajardo 7% while blank and undecided accounted for 14%.
  • In a runoff scenario, Petro would get 47% versus 39% for Gutierrez
  • Poll of 6,204 people, conducted May 2-13 and has a margin of error of 1.2 percentage points.
