Khaosod journalist Pravit Rojanaphruk reports that Move Forward Party (MFP) leader Pita Limjaroenrat delivers his final remarks to parliament before the PM vote. He calls on lawmakers to back his bid to become Prime Minister.

  • Rojanaphruk cites House of Representatives Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha as noting that the PM vote could start at 10:00BST/16:00ICT, one hour before the original time.
  • According to available accounts of the parliament's meeting, throughout the debate Pita was facing hostile speeches from pro-military lawmakers related to his shareholding case and his call to amend the lese-majeste law.
