PLN Remains ‘Fundamentally Undervalued’

  • Polish Prime Mateusz Morawiecki is visiting Georgia to meet his counterpart Irakli Garibashvili (BBG).
  • Yesterday, economic data showed that Poland core CPI surged to 6.7% in February (vs. 6.3% exp), its highest level since December 2000.
  • NBP member Kotecki mentioned in an interview yesterday that the central bank should raise interest rates as much as necessary.
  • Kotecki also added that the PLN looks currently ‘fundamentally undervalued’ and unlocking EU funds would help the zloty.
