- Speaking in Washington, D.C., Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng states that he believes he will still be in position next month, saying “Absolutely 100%. I’m not going anywhere" and that his “total focus is on delivering on the mini-budget”. Kwarteng not in main IMF meeting at present, but supposedly holding bilateral with another finance minister.
