POLAND: EC Approves Poland's Medium-Term Fiscal Plan, Unemployment Data On Tap

- The European Commission (EC) approved Poland's mid-term fiscal consolidation plan and agreed to take into account Poland's increased military spending, which contributes to the security of the EU's external borders. Undersecretary of State Pawel Karbownik told money.pl that this was one of the key arguments that persuaded the Commission to show more leniency in negotiations aiming to chart Poland's deficit-reduction path.
- Poland and Ukraine announced that they saw "no obstacles" for Warsaw to conduct exhumations of Polish victims of the Volyn massacre. Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that it is "the key to a full reconciliation of our nations," which is "very much needed in this dramatic moment of our shared history."
- Statistics Poland will release unemployment data for Q3 (BBG est. 2.8%) and October (BBG est. 5.0%) at 09:00GMT/10:00CET.
