POLAND: Mayors Reportedly Critical Of Wage Hikes For Municipal Officials

POLAND
  • Money.pl reported that although Labour, Family and Social Policy Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bak managed to get the ruling coalition to approve a 20% wage hike for municipal officials, she is facing backlash from mayors, who will have to shoulder the costs of the decision halfway through the financial year. • Far-right Confederation's Przemyslaw Wipler said that his party and the main opposition Law and Justice (PiS) could support a minority government of the centre-right PSL, if it decided to leave the current ruling coalition.
