POLAND: NBP's Wnorowski Expects Rate-Cut Discussion In Q1

- NBP's Henryk Wnorowski told Dziennik Gazeta Prawna that he believes that "in the first quarter we'll see sufficient number of reasons to discuss rate cuts," even as the central bank should wait until the release of March inflation projection before starting this debate. The official said that he sees no reason to start the easing cycle with a move exceeding 25bp.
- Sejm Speaker Szymon Holownia confirmed his intention to run in the 2025 presidential election. His start in the 2020 presidential race, when he came third after the candidates of two leading parties, was a springboard for his entry into national politics after a career in television.
- Statistics Poland will release flash Q3 GDP data at 09:00GMT/10:00CET. According to a Bloomberg survey of economists, the economy may have expanded by +2.9% Y/Y in the three months through end-September, after growing by 3.2% in the previous quarter.
- The Finance Ministry will offer PLN5bn-9bn of OK0127, DS0727, DS1029, PS0130, WZ0330, DS1034 and WS0447 bonds at an auction today.
