Poland Submits Energy Storage Support Mechanism Draft

Poland has submitted its PLN4bn (€930mn) draft mechanism to support the application of energy storage facilities, with the program to be implemented over 2024-28, the government said, cited by ISB News.

  • The funds include PLN3.6bn for subsidies and PLN400mn in loans.
  • The facilities that are no less than 2MW of capacity, or 4MWh, will be able to apply.
  • The units will be used to stabilise the domestic power grid.
