POLAND
  • Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the introduction of random checks on the Polish-Slovakian border amid concerns over the growing number of illegal migrants entering the EU via the West Balkan route, while Border Guard spokesperson said that migrant pressure on the Slovakian border is increasing. This comes amid heightened tensions over intensifying migrant flows, which are filtering through into the ongoing election campaigns in Poland and Slovakia.
  • Rzeczpospolita reports that Polish investigators "categorically" ruled out the possibility that the missile which killed two farmers in the village of Przewodow last year could have been fired from Russia.
