Poland to Introduce Restrictions on Power Supply, Demand

POWER

Poland’s energy regulatory office URE and TSO PSE plant to introduce restrictions on the supply and consumption of power over 1 June 2024-31 May 2025, according to the regulator.

  • These restrictions apply only to large consumers with a contractual capacity equal to or greater than 0.3MW and will not be directly applied to households.
  • The plan for introducing restrictions is prepared every year by PSE.
  • The TSO recently curtailed the capacity of PV units due to the large amount of power supply and limited power demand for some hours, according to PSE.
