Opinion polling from Abacus data shows the ongoing fallout from the WE Charity scandal, which has engulfed PM Justin Trudeau and his Finance Minister Bill Moreau, is having a notable impact on the PM's popularity.

  • Trudeau Approval Polling: Approve: 39% (-3) Disapprove: 41% (+5), July 29 (chg w/July 16)
  • "Which do you agree with more?": "It's Time For A New Liberal Leader": 44%, "Trudeau Should Continue As Liberal Leader": 30%
  • "Should Bill Morneau Resign?" (All respondents): Yes: 35% No: 16% Unsure: 48%
  • "Should Bill Morneau Resign?" (Those following WE scandal closely): Yes: 54%, No: 26%, Unsure: 20%
  • Despite the scandal, Trudeau's Liberals remain the most popular party:
