Possibly Moving On Earlier Kwarteng Headlines

US TSYS

The recently flagged squeeze higher in U.S. Tsys could be related to the previously outlined early departure of UK C’llr Kwarteng from the annual IMF meetings, as he returns to London to work on fiscal policy (resulting in further speculation re: another U-turn in UK fiscal policy). GBP has caught a delayed bid in recent dealing. Markets have been particularly attuned to swings in UK assets since the release of PM Truss’ “mini” Budget, with UK fiscal matters perhaps in the driving seat once again here.
