Expanding on House vote on halting Pres Trump's national emergency declaration

(around 1700-1800ET), and more on what happens if/when the legislation clears

the House, when the Senate has 18 days to follow up with their own vote.

- The vote only needs a simple majority in both chambers to get to the

president's desk, where White House officials have suggested he would use his

first veto since taking over the Oval Office. If all 47 Democrats vote for the

resolution to block Trump's emergency declaration, they will still need to flip

four Republican senators. Current chatter is approximately a dozen Republicans

on the fence, others note three Republicans are already peeling away (Tillis,

Murkowski and Collins). 

- Is resistance if futile? What's a rebuke worth?

- Assuming it DOES pass both chambers, Pres Trump can still veto it UNLESS there

is a super-majority -- a vote of two thirds in BOTH chambers to override a veto.

- Betting markets are NOT making odds on a Senate vote passing, but can assume

odds of 66% of Senate voting to Block is next to zero.
