The French November power base-load contract is continuing this week’s pullback, tracking a new contract low, with declined in the energy complex, above normal hydro-stocks and stable nuclear availability.
- France Base Power NOV 24 down 0.6% at 73.5 EUR/MWh
- EUA DEC 24 down 0.2% at 62.5 EUR/MT
- TTF Gas NOV 24 down 0.8% at 38.295 EUR/MWh
- Nuclear availability in France has increased to 71% of capacity as of Thursday morning, up from 68% of capacity on Wednesday, RTE data showed, cited by Bloomberg.
- 1.31GW Golfech 1 will undergo planned maintenance on 4-6 October. Planned works at 915MW Cruas 4 have been extended by four days until 10 October.
- The latest 6-10 day ECMWF weather forecast suggested mean temperatures in Paris are forecast below the seasonal average until 5 October, before rising above normal until 10 October, before rising back down below the average, with mean temperatures between 10-17C.
- Wind output is forecast to decrease on the day to 3.15GW during base load on Friday, down from 6GW the day before. Solar PV output is forecast to rise to 6.34GW during peak load on Friday, up from 4.74GW forecasted for Thursday load according to SpotRenewables.
- Power demand in France is forecast to rise to a maximum of 53.52GW on Thursday and of 52.49GW on Friday, Entso-E data showed.
