Germany’s Offshore Wind Energy Association (BWO) urges lawmakers to amend the Offshore Wind Energy Act to boost investment and improve the chances of offshore wind farm projects, it said.

  • The BWO is asking to change the implementation deadlines for the construction of wind farms and removal of financial deductibles to the Energy Industry Act.
  • “Up to now, OWP operators have only received compensation of 91% of the lost feed-in tariff or the monthly market value from the 90st day of the grid connection delay,” director at BWO Stefan Thimm said.
