Germany switched to a net power exporter to the Netherlands in September and may further increase its net exporter position this month. 

  • German net power exports to the Netherlands stood at 552.1MW last month, compared with net imports averaging 108.4MW in August and net imports averaging 581.5MW in September 2023.
  • The German October power base-load contract closed at €78.70/MWh on 30 September, holding a €3.45/MWh discount to the Dutch market, suggesting Germany will remain a net power exporter to the Netherlands this month.
  • So far this month, German net exports to the Netherlands increased to 552.1MW.
