POWER: Germany’s Large Battery Storage Set for 5x Growth by 2026

The German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar) forecasts large battery storage (minimum of 1MW) capacity to reach around 7GWh by 2026 – about a fivefold growth in capacity from current levels, it said, cited by PV Magazine.

  • Current capacity includes 1.8GWh of large-scale storage, 13GWh of residential PV storage and 1.1GWh of Commercial battery storage.
