POWER: TVO’s OL2 Reactor to Resume Operations in October at Reduced Output

TVO’s 890MW Olkiluoto 2 nuclear power plant will resume reduced power production of 725MW from 6 October, following an incident on 9 September, it said. 

  • The generator rotor at the reactor sustained damage in early-September, with the cause of the damage still under investigation.
  • Latest remit data suggested the unit will run on reduced output from 5 October until 25 May 2025.
