President-Elect Boric Condemns Russian Actions, CLP Down Over 4%

  • Government identified 53 Chileans who are in Ukraine and are now coordinating their departure from the country from the consulate in Warsaw since it does not have an embassy or a consulate in Ukraine.
  • President-elect Gabriel Boric also condemned the invasion, according to his Twitter account.
  • The Chilean peso is headed for its biggest one-day slide since September 2011 as it fell 4.03%, the second worst-performing major currency in the world on Thursday after the Russian ruble.
