Following a sharp contraction in the first half of 2020, GDP rebounded sharply in the third quarter, while still remaining well below pre-pandemic levels. The resurgence of the pandemic and containment measures likely led to a decline in activity in Q420 and is expected to weigh on activity in the first quarter of this year. This is broadly in line with the macroeconomic projections.
