Tsy futures holding modest gains, upper half of session range ahead the $16B 20Y-Note auction re-open (912810TF5) at the top of the hour. WI is currently running around 2.710%, appr 31.4bp cheap to last month's high yield. February recap:

  • Tsy futures held modest gains after $19B 20Y note auction (912810TF5) came in on the screw: 2.396% high yield vs. 2.396% WI; 2.44x bid-to-cover vs. Jan's 2.48x.
    • Indirect take-up receded to 62.981% vs. year+ high of 66.22% in Jan; direct bidder take-up surged to new high 20.98% (17.03% in Jan and Dec'21 year high of 20.83%) while primary dealer take-up slipped to 16.11% vs. 16.75% prior.
  • Timing: The 20Y note re-open results will be available shortly after the competitive auctions closes at 1300ET.
