Priolo Refinery Crude Arrivals Below Capacity Despite Asset Sale

REFINING

Crude arrivals at GOI Energy’s 320kbpd Priolo refinery – previously known as Lukoil’s ISAB refinery – remained below capacity, despite the sale earlier in the year according to Argusmedia.

  • Deliveries stood at 185kbpd in December, compared with 170kbpd in November and the 2023 average of 195kbpd.
  • The facility ran mostly on US WTI in 2023 with arrivals averaging 55kbpd, followed by CPC Blend with 50kbpd and Azeri BTC Blend with 40kbpd.
  • In May 2023, the refinery was sold from Lukoil to GOI Energy, after the refinery was unable to import Russian crude, on which it ran almost exclusively previously. See: https://marketnews.com/lukoils-isab-refinery-in-italy-has-been-sold-to-goi-energy
