  • Shipments are holding steady at around 249k b/d (1.79m mtpa), although Qatar is facing increasing competition from recent nearby refinery startups.
  • In June, QatarEnergy announced three deals to export 41k b/d of Qatari naphtha in long-term contracts.
  • Qatar’s total naphtha exports are around 240k b/d, according to Kpler.
  • The most recent deal was with Japan’s ENEOS, adding to earlier deals with India’s Haldia Petrochemicals and Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan.
