Raisi To Meet w/EU Leaders At UNGA, Nuclear Deal Still Out Of Reach

• French President Emmanuel] Macron meets Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi today (20 Sep).
• European Council President Charles Michel also meets Raisi today.
• EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell meets Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian at some point.
• Chief EU negotiator Enrique Mora meets with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani at some point.
• Expectations on a deal being on the Iran nuclear agreement are very low. Politico reported Borrell stating yesterday: "The past proposal, the last request from the Iranian side, was not exactly pushing for an agreement and if we had to say today if something happened this week, I would say ‘I don’t think so.’”
