Ramaphosa Denies Criminal Allegations

  • Bloomberg reports that President Ramaphosa has responded to allegations from the ex-chief of the Spy agency, denying all suggestions of crime.
  • The headlines follow reports late yesterday that former State Security Agency director Arthur Fraser has opened a criminal case against President Ramaphosa, claiming that Ramaphosa had concealed a crime relating to the theft of "in excess of four million US dollars". Fraser had been responsible for the original release of former President Zuma last year – a decision that was reversed by the Gauteng high court.
