Ramaphosa Reportedly Delayed Cabinet Reshuffle Due To Health Reasons

News24 reports that South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa has delayed the announcement of a Cabinet reshuffle until next week due to ill health. The news website notest that Ramaphosa was due to hold final consultations with ANC officials at his Pretoria residence yesterday, but the meeting was called off at the eleventh hour.

  • "Two insiders who were close to discussions said that ANC officials were told that Ramaphosa had a cold and that the talks had been indefinitely called off," News24 writes in the report.
  • News24 sources suggested that the most likely date of the Cabinet rejig announcement is Sunday, after everything was prepared for the President to make the announcement on Thursday.
