Rangebound, Little Follow Through On Moves

NZD

NZD/USD prints at $0.6255/60, ~0.1% higher than yesterday's closing levels.

  • The pair has been dealing in a $0.6240/60 range today, with moves seeing little follow through.
  • Pressure from cross market flows saw the NZD test session lows before a recovery in e-minis off early lows and US Treasury Yields coming off best levels helped NZD/USD par losses.
  • AUD/NZD is marginally softer, down ~0.1%. The pair printed multi-month highs yesterday and is moderating its gains this morning. However the cross does remain comfortably above the $1.10 handle.
  • Wider swings in risk sentiment will be the main driver in NZD for the remainder of the session before tomorrow's RBNZ meeting comes into view.
